Employment: Full Time

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for procurement of goods and services as delegated by the Director, Procurement & Business Services. This position focuses on purchasing of items from preferred vendors or outsourced services. Establishes and maintains preferred supplier relationships. Responsible for SAP SRM training.

Position Activities:
- Maintains contact and consults with end users to prepare specifications for items or equipment required.
- Reviews requisitions, confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
- Develops and maintains relationships with vendors and internal customers for assigned products and services; investigates and identifies new product areas; meets with suppliers and customers; prepares final contract information for publication and distribution, with purchase order and contract sign-off authority.
- Investigate and qualify Suppliers based on forward demand forecasts. Seeks new sources of Supply
- Prepares proposals, quotation requests and bids.
- Negotiates price and delivery with potential suppliers. Defines value according to knowledge of market price. Prepares and follows up on Purchase orders
- Maintains procurement and contract documents in a systematic and auditable manner. Maintains delegated sections of Master Data within the SAP System.
- Coordinates P-Card purchases and executes all e-payments using the AP card.
- Coordinates and executes SAP SRM training for Unit administrators
- Performs other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

- BA Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years prior experience in procurement of IT supplies, office supplies, books and general services.
- Previously demonstrated multi-tasking ability in a results oriented environment.
- Previously demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previously demonstrated fluency in the English language
- Prior experience working in a cross-cultural environment
- Previously demonstrated experience with Micro Soft office products; including word processing, presentation software and spreadsheets.
- Previously demonstrated organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills.
- Previously demonstrated ability to work independently and safeguard confidential information.

Highly Desirable Requirements:
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar
- Prior experience with SAP
- Prior working experience in a research, medical or educational environment
- Read, write and speak Arabic
