Job description / Role
A global leader in rail technology is looking for a Procurement Director to lead and measure the operational procurement activities in EMEA for the execution of the contracts with the suppliers, for the purchase of quality materials and services to meet BT and Customer requirements, reduce total cost of ownership and ensure timely delivery at the right place. Based in Dubai, this job reports directly to Regional Procurement Head.
Responsibilities:
- Leads and drives EMEA procurement managers. Coordinates the sites reporting
- Brings the necessary support vis-a-vis other functions
- Controls EMEA PROC budgets
- Leads the activity of EMEA sites procurement teams
- Makes sure that all actions are properly coordinated between sites
- Controls the Materials project budgets and makes sure that implementation actions are taken with respect to lessons learned from other projects, and applies
- In-charge the Operational deployment of Procurement strategy
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent through experience, complemented by a demonstrated track record of success.
- Preferably Engineering degree with commercial profile.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility
- An in depth knowledge of procurement processes in railway, construction (Civil Works, Infrastructure)
- Language: English is a must. Arabic is highly recommended/appreciated. German and/or French is a plus.
