Procurement Engineer - Mechanical - AF Engineering - Jeddah

Our MEP Projects division provides solutions from design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning in one coordinated package or as individual services in conjunction with other contractors. Some of our projects are residential buildings, offices, shopping malls, hospitals, hotels, schools, showrooms, public utility buildings, industrial units, mosques, warehouses, high rise towers and Infrastructure works.

As a Procurement Engineer you will execute the procurement of correct material using principles of cost-effectiveness, from the right source within the allotted time-frame

The duties of the Procurement Engineer will include:
* Ability to analyze purchasing requisitions to ensure clarity and completeness in technical specifications, quality standards, quantities and deliveries.
* Identify potential vendors, develop selection criteria and pre qualification.
* Develop and Issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to qualified vendors.
* Evaluate Bids to ensure technical and commercial compliance.
* Negotiate final price with vendors by devising and utilizing the appropriate strategy through online bidding (Ariba) / offline negotiation to ensure optimum total cost of ownership.
* Issue Purchase Orders / Contracts and expedite timely deliveries.
* Help control stock levels by varying delivery schedules.
* Vendor Performance Rating and Management.
* Review and negotiate contractual agreements to ensure minimization of commercial risk and liability.
* Ensure that the processes, procedures and related timelines comply to organization's standard Procurement Processes & Policies.
* Maintain proper records of procurement related activities for any future reference or audit requirements.
* Review, achieve and report on the status of KRA's Achieved.

Requirements

Education:
Bachelors in Mechanical/Elec Engineering

Experience:
0 - 5 years' experience in procurement role preferably in a Engineering organization.

Technical Skills:
* Good knowledge of procurement methods and procedures is a must to ensure compliance with the company's procedure.
* Good skills in producing written technical reports and recommendations in English.
* Effective communication skills and confidence when dealing internally and externally.
* Able to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple activities.
* Excellent time/task management & organizational skills.
* High energy level & ability to work effectively and manage a team of buyers with minimal supervision.
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
