Procurement Executive - AF Engineering

Job description / Role

- Ability to analyze purchasing requisitions to ensure clarity and completeness in technical specifications, quality standards, quantities and deliveries.
- Identify potential vendors; develop selection criteria and pre-qualification.
- Develop and Issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to qualified vendors.
- Evaluate Bids to ensure technical and commercial compliance.
- Negotiate final price with vendors by devising and utilizing the appropriate strategy through online bidding (Ariba) / offline negotiation to ensure optimum total cost of ownership.
- Issue Purchase Orders / Contracts and expedite timely deliveries.
- Help control stock levels by varying delivery schedules.
- Vendor Performance Rating and Management.
- Review and negotiate contractual agreements to ensure minimization of commercial risk and liability.
- Ensure that the processes, procedures and related timelines comply to organizations standard Procurement Processes & Policies.
- Maintain proper records of procurement related activities for any future reference or audit requirements.
- Review, achieve and report on the status of KRAs Achieved.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Good knowledge of procurement methods and procedures is a must to ensure compliance with the company's procedure
- Good skills in producing written technical reports and recommendations in English
- Effective communication skills and confidence when dealing internally and externally
- Able to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple activities
- Excellent time/task management & organizational skills
- High energy level & ability to work effectively and manage a team of buyers with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
