The Enterprise IT

The EIT is responsible for creating, implementing and sustaining a world-class service provision and agile development capability to facilitate the ambitious growth and business transformation agenda of the Al-Futtaim Group across all geographies. This covers Business Application Management, Infrastructure & Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management, Information Security, IT Procurement and IT Governance. EIT also manages and innovates, the entire life-cycles of a SAP ERP system for amongst others Automotive, Retail, Real Estate and Financial Services including development, selective outsourcing and application management. The Group Infrastructure includes data centres hosting state of the art servers & storage, converged networks, workplace, services and security systems.

We are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to work work within our Enterprise IT Division, based in our Head Office in Dubai Festival City.

The role responsibilities are as follows:

* Works directly with and effectively communicates with internal customers/requisitions and external vendors to procure (including the obtaining of pricing) routine goods and services. Includes the maintenance of confidences and keeping information confidential
* Performs follow-up services to ensure suppliers fulfill purchases in an effective, efficient and timely manner
* Manages spend and cost reductions
* Manages resolution of receiving, invoice (exception) and claims problems and complaints arising from purchase orders
* Works with Accounting and/or Shared Services to verify bills from suppliers against quotes, bids and/or purchase orders and assists with the resolution against any discrepancies
* Maintains supplier databases and supplier evaluations based on service, quality, price and delivery
* Gathers information relative to source selection and competitive bidding situations on pertinent parts, supplies and services
* Manages, administers and makes specific assignments to Buyers to effectively achieve cost and availability goals as well as fostering strong supplier management relationships. Effective at cross- functional teamwork. Possesses ability to juggle and prioritize numerous requests simultaneously. Executes short and long range procurement goals, material forecasts and goals and objectives.
* Possess performance management skills and ability to develop personnel through various techniques. Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow and operating policies and procedures. Prepares monthly report outlining major activities.
* Must have basic management abilities and planning skills, strong knowledge of the supply base and good interpersonal skills. The position requires a high degree of maturity, being conscientious and ethical to ensure control and the proper responsible expenditure of company funds. The individual must be resourceful and protect the company's interests

Requirements

* A minimum experience of 3 years in a procurement role
* Supply management / Six Sigma certification would be preferred
* The ability to bring together and work with a team of people with varied backgrounds - business analysts, technical experts, process owners - to articulate and remedy service level issues
* Strong and effective communication skills: oral, written and presentation
* Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
* Technical understanding with ability to translate business concepts
* Credible and trustworthy
* Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner
* Relationship management and conflict resolution skills
* Highly organised and attention to details
* Strong and effective communication and presentation skills
