Procurement Manager – Abu Dhabi – Infrastructure Contractor. This is a well established local, infrastructure contractor based in Abu Dhabi. They always have plenty of work on and are financial stable meaning they have the cash flow to be bidding and winning big projects. The company is very stable and has a cautious approach to recruitment and will only employee additional staff when they are sure they can guarantee a long term future at the company.

They currently have a number of infrastructure projects in and around Abu Dhabi including highways and utilities projects. They have recently completed a number of airport infrastructure projects.

They now have a requirement for a Procurement Manager to work in their office in Abu Dhabi.

Requirements

You will need an Engineering degree (in civil preferable), at least 15 years experience, have worked for a major infrastructure contractor in a similar position and have a stable work history. Infrastructure and roads experience is a MUST. Extensive knowledge in materials such as pipes (GRP, HDPE, DI, GRE, uPVC, etc.), electrical (LV/MV/HV cables, Substation components, Feeder Pillars, panels, street lights components, etc.), mechanical (valves of all types etc.), steel, aggregate material from quarry, etc.

You will need extensive knowledge in international standards such as ASTM, BS, SESM, ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, establishment and implementation of systems and procedures (SOPs), excellent writing skills, Excellent Managerial skills, very shrewd, poised, detail oriented, autonomous, capable of establishing, building up, and developing a fully fledged Procurement Department within the Organization.
