Procurement Manager – Project Based Industry Background

Salary 30,000 QR plus medical and ticket - Negotiable for the right candidate

This is a senior level role that needs someone with a project-based background. Whilst there is an element of retail to the business the key focus will be to procure projects and manage the deadlines associated with that.

• Manage and supervise procurement, expeditors, and logistics activities and staff
• - Follow up every client Purchase Order and prepare orders to suppliers
• - Follow up orders with the suppliers and shipping arrangements
• - Delivery arrangements of items to the clients’ premises
• - Coordinate with suppliers and clients for smooth arrangements of orders and deliveries
• - Negotiate with suppliers best prices, delivery times, and terms
• - Source and engage sub-contractors for various projects requirements
• - Update Procurement procedure and optimize it for better output and lower cost/risks on company side
• - Monitor stock levels of stocked items and consumable and re-order them to maintain adequate stock
• - Issue monthly and annual reports
• - Create and implement KPIs related to procurement & logistics activities.
• - Establish good and professional relationship with suppliers
• - implement the company quality management system.
• - train the company staff on selected topics.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this role you must have at least 8 years experience in procurement of a project based business. You will need to demonstrate clearly in the interview how you get the projects and how to manage the actual project to meet the deadlines. This can be a role that requires intensive hours at certain points in the project. We need someone who is flexible, quick thinking and who can find solutions not simply state problems. You will have a small team to manage. You need to have worked in the GCC and understand the ways of this business. Preference will be given to those with experience in the Audio visual industry however we will consider people from other industries but dealing with the same or similar client base. You must have excellent communication skills as you will be leading teams, bidding to high level panels.
