Employment: Full Time

Our client a full service development and construction company established to deliver some of the most prestigious projects in the region, that to date equate to over US$1.5bn in developments include retail, residential, office centers, hotels and large mixed use schemes, have a superb vacant opportunity in the capacity of ‘Procurement Manager’ based out of their head office in Baku.

This role is essential to meeting the current and future demands of the business and as such can be viewed as a key position with the company and so to be consider for this position the successful candidate will be of sufficient seniority with a proven career experience of managing procurement activities for projects in excess of $US250m, but will also be at ease working in the detail.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:
• Plan, direct, and manage procurement activities of the Company as well as supply management, cost and delivery activities between departments and suppliers
• Locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future needs
• Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement
• Negotiate and manage all contracts and agreements for assigned supplies
• Manage suppliers, cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Understand, track, and forecast the key cost drivers and market factors for assigned supplies
• Implement appropriate sourcing strategies to control the company's purchased material costs and to assure an adequate source of supply
• Develop cross-functional teams to understand company-wide needs and evaluate suppliers
• Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process
• Maintain and promote relationships with suppliers and the business community

Requirements

It is expected that you will hold a degree in a business or engineering subject with at least 15 years in a similar capacity that will have included extensive experience of construction related developments, ideally with an international spread, together with a proven ability to lead and influence.

A thorough knowledge of advanced procurement principles, theories and processes is paramount as are excellent communication skills in English; however ability to converse in Turkish, Azeri or Russian would be highly advantageous.
