Job description / Role
Our client is a Main Contractor company, is an owned Qatari Company established almost 40 years ago.
Their core business activities is construction of onshore Oil and Gas facilities with associated Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical and structural specialties. They have established in-house expertise specialist disciplines. They also have specialization in Cross Country Pipeline and have probably installed more Cross Country Pipelines in Qatar than any other Contractor
Requirements
The followings are minimum requirement for procurement manager.
1. Graduate in mechanical engg or any other professional degree, full time course and should be equivalent to mechanical or E&I.
Business management from reputed university.
2. Basic qualifications related QA/QC and lead auditor if preferred.
3. Understanding material related to mechanical E&I such as Piping, pipe fittings, line pipe ,structure, cables, switch gears, plc, transformers but limited to above, capable to procure complete EPIC Project material related to Oil and Gas.
4 . preparing purchase orders, understanding custom duty and other legal requirement to clear the material while issuing the PO
5. Organising third party for inspection and liaise with various vendor.
6. Strong skill to negotiate the prices and bring within budget.
7.expediting skill and to ensure material arrives within schedule.
8. Facing internal and external audits.
