Our client, a reputable packaging company in Dubai is currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager

Overview of the Position:
Procurement Manager is responsible to drive local purchasing activities for indirect material and services, working together with the cluster Supplier Management team and different stakeholders to ensure supply of high quality material and services at lowest possible price.

The Procurement Manager role is a contributor to the overall cluster Supplier Management strategy, and also responsible for the implementation of the cluster and global category strategy.

Procurement Manager will be based at Dubai office reporting to Cluster Supplier Management Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive sourcing and contracting activities including negotiation with suppliers

Implement global, cluster and local contracts

Manage local supplier base

Identify cost saving opportunities and develop required plans to achieve them

Develop & maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Ensure optimization of Purchase to Payment processes

Category Management for one of the cluster Supplier Management categories

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or equivalent

At least 8 years of procurement experience preferably with multi-national company

Good experience with procurement processes, supplier management, contract management, competitive bidding and market conditions

Candidates with procurement experience in Marketing & Communication, Human Resources and Professional Service are preferred

Strong strategic planning, supplier management and negotiation skills

Knowledge in SAP/R3 is preferred

Personal Qualifications:

Good networking skills with ability to build and utilize networks internal and external

Proven ability to influence and collaborate

Strong analytical skills

Good communication and presentation skills
