Employment: Full Time

A Procurement Manager is required in Dubai, UAE by a company that provides services to the Oil & Gas industry.
General duties carried out on a day-to-day basis associated with the management of the procurement function i.e. establishment, review and approval of purchase requisitions, orders, agreements and invoices. To effectively manage the procurement function to ensure procurement of material on time, improve efficiency of the system and reduce overall costs.
This position reports to the General Manager. The position will have 4-6 direct report and peers include heads of other departments.
The Procurement Manager receives general assignment either from the General manager or the Operations Manager. The Procurement Manager has the authority to make procurement decisions in conjunction with the General Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Extensive Procurement experience with at least 5 years of Procurement Management experience
• Proven ability to liaise with suppliers and subcontractors
• Experience of working in the manufacturing industry, in particular a machine shop environment
• Experience of sourcing raw materials
• Experience of inventory management
• Knowledge of MS Project & MS Office
• Sound technical background and oil industry experience is a major advantage
• Strong negotiations skills
• Ability to communicate fluently at the highest level with customers and suppliers
