Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a Qatar based company, an industry leading systems integrator specializing in audiovisual, building controls, fire & security systems, lighting, information technology, broadcast, and hospitality management solutions.

We are currently seeking an excellent Procurement Manager who will be responsible for the following:

• Act as functional expert for all Procurement applications by providing consultation, direction, and support to the Procurement team.
• Lead work teams which provide business and technical support for Procurement applications.
• Plan and manage internal and external resources where necessary.
• Plan and execute script preparation, testing, and documentation strategies for new applications, changes, enhancements, and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain compliance documents in support of compliance programs as required.
• Develop and implement new supplier assessment and implementation strategies.
• Work with customers to understand and communicate business requirements, criticality of suppliers, supplier issues, etc.
• Work with Procurement to develop and implement strategies.
• Provide day-to-day support with Procurement and supplier representatives.
• Act as owner of Procurement Preferred Supplier activities.
• Conduct new supplier / supplier due diligence activities as required.
• Resolve support issues and meet customer expectations.
• Assure adherence to all established GP and enterprise-wide policies and standards.
• Provide response mechanism for day-to-day inquiries and issues.
• Participate in appropriate external user councils to keep abreast of technology and process “best practices.”
• Network across regional and global hubs to share learning and apply best practices.
• Evaluate system performance against procurement objectives; determine any issues to be impeding the achievement of objectives.
• Build and maintain effective and productive relationships with the Finance community.
• Ensure that customer focus remains an integral component of procurement support

Requirements

Desired Skills and Expertise:

Minimum Requirements:
• B.S/B.A
• Minimum of 6-8 years business experience
• Minimum of 4-6 years varied procurement experience
• Minimum of 4-6 years proven project management experience; systems implementations preferred
• Hands-on experience with Procurement tools
• Detailed experience in business and financial analysis
• Proven experience with reporting tools
• Proven presentation experience (oral and technical) to all levels of management
• Proven experience in continuous process improvement
• Experience with global procurement teams and strategies

Preferred Qualifications:
• M.S/M.B.A • Professional certifications (e.g. CPSM)
• Professional memberships (e.g. ISM)
• Broad based cross-functional pharmaceuticals/biotech experience
Bilingual Communication (Arabic & English)
