Job description / Role
- Develop, implement and continuously improve a long-term and regional strategy to facilitate effective and efficient Procurement Services as well as consistent and high quality value delivery
- Ensure the execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures and performance
- Support ME countries and their commercial and operational objectives by ensuring understanding of their requirements, implementing best practices in procurement and finding solutions in day-to-day business
- Identify areas for improvement to continuously drive performance and business results.
- Analyze market and delivery trends to develop appropriate procurement technologies and processes
- Oversee the development and execution of sourcing strategies across all categories within span of control including targets, timelines and resource plans
- Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
- Evaluate and monitor the suppliers and maintain strong relationships with them to assure that cost, quality and delivery targets are met
- Negotiate and agree contracts, monitor their progress and ensure quality standards
- Develop and implement regional reports and statistics
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience in logistics and procurement, ideally in the Middle East
- Preferably construction knowledge,
- Preferably free zone knowledge
- Analytical thinking and solution-oriented
- Attention to detail
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Team player
- Knowledge of process improvement / alignment
- Excellent English and Arabic skills
