Procurement/ Materials Engineer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for arranging all required equipments / components / materials as per the requests received, from the approved suppliers of the organization.
- Any non-available product / material to be arranged from any of the approved supplier or from a supplier of known quality and reliability, with due approval from the Engineering/ Estimation department.
- Arranges for local purchase for miscellaneous items as and when required and records results of purchases for any quality issues for evaluation.
- Suppliers quality issues if any are recorded and reviewed as and when required, as per the procedures and appropriate action plans are drawn and implemented as suggested by the QA / QC department.
Requirements
- Stock levels are reviewed and minimum stock levels are maintained after evaluating the material movement.
- Arrangements are made for incoming inspection and quality related issues if any are recorded and brought to the managements notice.
- Suppliers quality evaluation is carried out along with the QA /QC and reports are send to top management as required.
- Responsible for all the works assigned to him / her by the management and all works carried out by the subordinate staffs.
