Procurement Specialist - IT

Job description / Role

- Performs competitive assessment of marketplace (when required), benchmarking both quality of goods/services and price; obtains proposals, conducts level-up cost analysis, assess market risk, and works with business partners to select best qualified supplier
- Negotiates contract terms to drive and ensure proper SOW development; including overall clarity of SOW scope, identifying payment schedules that are aligned to clearly defined milestone and/or clearly defined deliverables.
- Process invoicing and maintain an updated, detailed and complete report for payments, outstanding and accruals.
- Maintains contact with suppliers through meetings and supplier site visits
- Pursuit of project cost savings that contribute to the organizations overall objectives
- Proactively engages with Business Partners to develop and coordinate Purchase Requests
- Works with internal clients to ensure compliance and that procurement processes and policies are integrated in to business practice of securing goods and services for the company; including assisting with accurate completion of internal requisite and compliance with procurement policies

Requirements

- 3 + years experience in procurement or related field.
- Familiarity with strategic/proactive competitive procurement procedures and processes
- knowledge of eProcurement systems
- Experience with IT Software, Hardware, Telecommunications/Network, professional services.
- Software License strong knowledge
- Details oriented, self-motivated problem solver
- Very good interpersonal skills; must be customer focused at all times. Must be able to build and maintain relationships within business organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in an "on-demand" environment
