Job description / Role
Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the development and execution of a project procurement execution plan and to support all Capex procurement activities.
Provide early procurement with project teams during the specification setting for equipment requirements and pre construction phases to ensure proper commercial viability.
Responsible for all communication to the project team members and will provide the required procurement status reports.
Execution of the procurement plans and strategies, review and approve all equipment and construction RFP packages, enter into negotiations with suppliers and contractors, supplier evaluation / recommendation and subsequent contract administration and management through to contract close out.
Interact with Engineering and design firms to establish any procedures / guidelines for the procurement and execution of equipment / materials and construction contracts.
Oversee all required expediting and tracking for the purchased goods and services during the entire procurement cycle.
Investigate and recommend programs and / or procedures involving cost reduction for assigned capital product.
Oversee the closeout phases to ensure alignment with the Groups Purchasing guidelines and procedures.
During the Projects procurement and construction phases, he/she will cover the construction managers procurement of subcontractor work in place, operating with Groups corporate and local site procurement policies and procedures.
Work very closely with the purchasing personnel, project team and the construction managers procurement personnel to establish, integrate, control and maintain an effective procurement process.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
BSc in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent
Certification in Purchasing management, Supply Chain Management is desired
Minimum Experience:
At least 4 years experience in project engineering / project management, commercial / business or procurement experience for Capital projects.
Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desired.
