Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This role supports the Regional Director / Manager through the provision of local content information and analysis. The role will also provide local content information to sourcing teams and develop a strategic view of the likely evolution of local content requirements within a region. For multi-country regions the Local Content Manager will act as the in-country representative of the Regional Director / Manager and work with the country leadership team.

To support the Regional Director / Manager on local content issues, including providing information on local content requirements and processes, localisation and nationalisation strategies and analysis of supplier compliance with local content requirement and capabilities

* To provide a single PSCM source of information on local content requirements in the Region
* To build knowledge on local content requirements and develop a 5-10 year outlook on the likely evolution of local content requirements in the region
* To identify and support business improvement opportunities through local content development
* External support
* Prepare materials to support the Regional Director / Manager in their role representing BP PSCM with external stakeholders
* Develop and maintain a repository of assurance and management information for the Regional Director / Manager to present to local government and politicians
* Local Content Information gathering and documentation
* Develop and maintain a repository of local content information for the Region, including any conflicting regulations (tax and law)
* Develop a 5-10 year strategic view of the likely evolution of local content requirements and their potential impact on BP activities in the Region
* Support and evaluate results of local content surveys
* Local Content Liaison with Category Management teams, Material Management/Warehousing and other PSCM Regions
* Prepare local information packages for all sourcing teams to understand required clauses/needs in Region and provide input on the compliance of sourcing plans to sourcing teams upon request
* Disseminate information for PSCM and SQM staff on local content requirements as necessary
* Share local content best practices with other Regions
* Support Regional Director / Manager in role
* Work with locally-based FPM Management information leads to prepare materials to support the Regional Director / Manager for their input into internal meetings and governance processes
* Support the Regional Director / Manager's role as Power of Attorney for BP PSCM within the Region (where applicable) - manage the administration of the Power of Attorney
* Ensure community meetings and local PSCM staff events and co-ordination are supported as directed by the Regional Director / Manager

Requirements

* University degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, Engineering or technical discipline or equivalent
* Demonstrated ability to collate, track and summarise local content requirements and distil into clear messages for Senior Leadership
* Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with individuals across multiple disciplines, cultures and geographies, across organizational boundaries and levels within BP
* Working knowledge of systems such as Ariba, Backbone and SAP and software tools such as Excel, Access, etc.
