Procurement Team Leader

Job description / Role

The Procurement Team Leader is responsible for monitoring and managing all local non merchandise procurement activities while ensuring the implementation of procurement plans

Key Accountabilities
- Ensures conformity of procurement procedures and departmental process flow
- Identify and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future commodity needs by conducting continuous research to locate new potential suppliers and stay abreast to new products and market trends, as well as maintaining mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers
- Track consumables' inventory, examine users purchasing habits to minimize expenses, create a set of monitoring controls and resolve problems with supply orders
- Set up budgets for new opening shops, renovation and relocation in close coordination with the Procurement Manager
- Participate in overseeing and negotiating small/medium category contracts along with the Procurement Manager
- Assist in recruiting, training, motivating and evaluating his/her team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company
- Support corporate and divisional objectives by implementing sourcing strategies and give recommendations on items/services for procurement while maintaining the company's competitive edge

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Business Administration
- 4 to 5 years of experience, preferably in an international operating environment
- Fluency in English
- Proficiency in MS Office
