Job description / Role
My client is a leading Middle East based construction contractor. They are currently working on some large, high rise projects in Doha, Qatar and are looking to recruit a number of staff, one of which is a Procurement and sub contractors manager. The role will involve managing the procurement team, supply chain management, category management, managing supplier relationships, strategic sourcing, supplier selection and development, management of procurement policy's and procedures and process improvement. You will also be expected to carry out contractual and strategic solutions that deliver savings in both supply and transaction costs, reduce risk, ensure security of supply, drive high quality and minimise working capital needs
Requirements
Candidates should have a degree or equivalent and have a proven track record in procurement management in construction industry, preferably with a large contractor. Candidates should preferably have worked in the Middle East and knowledge of the Qatar market is a distinct advantage. Candidates must have expertise in procurement management, supply chain management, category management, supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, supplier selection and development, procurement policy and procedures and process improvement. You must also be able to demonstrate expertise in carrying out contractual and strategic solutions and re-engineering of the supply chain, modern supply chain techniques, systems and procedures.
