Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Design and development of down-hole tools for the oil and gas industry.
Assembly, quality control and testing of new products.
Management of Research and Development
Projects.
Building and leading a regional Product Development Team

Job Responsibilities:
Concept development
Detailed design 2D, 3D CAD (Solid Works or similar)
Calculation and analysis
Documentation
Participate in testing of products
Follow up of suppliers and production
Develop presentation material
Develop good working relationships with world class subcontractors
Participate in technical discussions with clients
Follow up of reports regarding technical discussions with clients
Follow up of reports regarding technical issues and improvement suggestions
Responsible for developing a network of manufacturing suppliers in the region
Mentor engineers in direct team and field operations team.

Direct Report: Regional Management UAE

Functional Report: Technical Department Norway

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
At least Eight (8) years of experience designing downhole mechanical tools
Proficiency in Solid Works or similar
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Ability to establish work tasks with minimum oversight in order to successfully meet expectations
Advanced proficiency with applicable software applications in related field
Capable of assuming lead in a mentoring role to direct team and field operation employees
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent organization and follow up skills
Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills
