The Role


The Role


To oversee all aspects of a product/service line, manage the relationship with partners, work closely with the sales organization and indirect channels to promote the product and to create and deliver superior customer satisfaction while simultaneously providing long-term value for the company. The candidates should have experience in the LOB for EMC, Oracle, Symantec, HP, Cisco, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

- To prepare the monthly / annual marketing-plan for the particular product / service line and the sales forecast and to control the agreed budget.
- To motivate and work closely with the sales force to promote the product and to achieve the revenue target of the product line.
- To develop plans for products by directing staff to collect marketing information, including competitive benchmarks, trends & opportunities, & customer expectations with respect to the products.
- To participate in presales activities and opportunities qualification, to assist in explaining and demonstrating the benefits of products in trade shows.
- To recommend enhancements or changes to the existing products to satisfy customer needs, based on industry trends and market feedback and to participate in new product development teams.
- To maintain coherence among product groups and coordinate all aspects of the business relating to the product line by acting as a liaison with all relevant business units.
- To maintain a product fact book to enable source the history for the product.
- Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
- Act as a liaison between sales, and the supplier under the guidelines set by Marketing Manager.
- Collect competitors’ information and actions; collect marketing information, including competitive benchmarks, trends and opportunities, and customer expectations.

Education & Experience

- A Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (Preferred MBA with Marketing as specialisation)
- 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in Marketing & Product development
- Fluent English, and French (value added).
- Working with channels and customers as well.
- Has technical background in the above LOB.
- Capabilities of making Marketing and business plan and strategy for solutions and products.
