Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a manufacturer of high end appliances, is seeking a Product Manager to join their marketing team in Dubai.

The successful candidate will possess at least 3 years' experience in a marketing role, preferably with some product management experience.

N.B. Must be fluent in English.

Key responsibilities
- Monitor stock level to identify shortages and recommend orders accordingly
- Identify slow movers and take actions accordingly
- Gather market information and conduct customer research
- Recommend the addition of new product lines based on market studies and customer needs
- Plan and implement new product launch
- Set pricing strategies for existing and new products
- Review compiled data on operating costs and revenues in order to set prices
- Analyze financial performance of products and accordingly select products for GCC, discontinue product lines, or add new product lines
- Assist in the preparation and deployment of marketing plans
- Deal with Head Office on product availability and forecasting
- Negotiate with head office on possible new rates

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing
- Marketing
- Cost accounting
- Computer literacy and familiarity with business modeling
- Proficiency in English (written, read, spoken), German a plus
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to prepare and tailor financial models and good mathematical knowledge
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
- Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Monitoring/Assessing performance of operations to take action
- Ability to interact positively with people conveying clearly ideas when talking to internal/external parties
- Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
- Persuading others to change their minds or behavior
- High focus on details and accurate measures
- Managing one's own time and the time of others
- Talking to others to convey information effectively
