Product Manager - Middle East & Africa (MEA)

As we are expanding our business in MEA due to recent significant growth, we are seeking an exceptional Product Manager to provide specialist product support in the MEA region and to build a strong partnership with our valuable Distributor network. The composition of the role will be focused on product related education (60%) and sales involvement (40%).

Specifically, the role will manage the materiovigilance (safe & correct purpose use of capital equipment) of all Verathon products, provide clinical sales support to all local Distributors, ensure pre & post sales activities are adding value to all customers, drive specific product lines through the promotion of best practice and improved clinical outcomes, lead all education and marketing related events and develop close and positive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and associated societies in the MEA territories.

The role will be based in our Dubai office and will require extensive travel across the MEA region (50-70% travel)

Requirements

- Successfully completed university studies or comparable education (specializing in Medical related discipline, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance/Economics, Marketing, Logistics)
- Clinical/biomedical background is a must
- Desirable to have post-graduate studies (MBA)
- 5+ years in nursing and/or theatre related clinical/sales experience
- 5+ years of related experience in a commercial function (preferably in product specialist, product management, sales administration or customer support) in a multi-national, preferably in medical devices company (experience in a hospital environment in the Emergency Room and/or Operating Theatre) and/or pharmaceutical company
- Knowledge of product management, training and administrative processes
- Demonstrates a track record in achieving high quality, commercially focused business results
- Experience working for a U.S./European based manufacturing company highly preferred.

EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Strong Knowledge of GCC medical device markets/business in both public and private sectors.
- Training in a clinical setting to the appropriate audience (either in a clinical setting and/or with Distributors)
- Product allocation and demand planning & forecasting
- Knowledge of industry benchmarks and the development of setting standards by which others measure their success
- Knowledge of achieving competitive advantage through applying an understanding of the market and external environment to all business activities
- Knowledge of Logistics and Product Planning process, highly desirable
- A collaborative team player, who cultivates a collegial spirit, respects other peoples ideas and understands how to gain agreement and acceptance for new initiatives, not only at the senior management level but throughout the organization.
- Extremely supportive and creative in solving problems across value streams and functions
- Comfortable with having to adjust to changes in work environment, work under pressure with a sense of urgency, and meet tight deadlines. Adept at prioritizing work and coordinating tasks simultaneously.
