Job Description

Origination and execution activities within SCB's high yield debt capital market platform covering a wide range of industries and sectors across Middle East, Africa, Europe and the US. The job involves close collaborations with regional DCM teams across these geographies supporting and leading DCM client coverage.

Over time, the candidate will be expected to develop a comprehensive understanding of corporate financing considerations and capital structure analysis which will be complimented by a financial structuring skill set covering covenants and credit structuring.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Support origination through (i) collaboration with client coverage teams to identify key opportunities; (ii) direct client coverage; and (iii) proactive idea generation and pitching
Developing and producing pitch-books to include credit benchmarking, capital structure ideas, rating analysis, financial modelling, investor analysis, SCB capabilities and credentials and market updates

Reviewing and building financial models: analyzing credit metrics, coverage ratios, debt capacity and sensitivity analysis

Building relationship across the SCB footprint across industry teams, client coverage, corporate finance teams, regional DCM teams and support functions

Conduct market research and development of new initiatives looking more broadly at fixed income structured products

Supporting end to end deal execution including
- Deal process management
- Supporting rating workstreams
- Internal approval procedures
- Review of offering memorandums and credit positioning
- Preparation of roadshow presentations
- Supporting covenants and structuring workstreams
- Co-ordinating through syndicate with global sales and distribution teams

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

A successful candidate would demonstrate experience (or the potential to learn) in the following key skills credit analysis, financial modelling, credit structuring, termsheet negotiations, process management

Experience in the following areas would be helpful;
- Oil and gas / metals and mining sector knowledge
- Leverage finance experience

Debt capital markets / fixed income markets experience
