The Role


The Role


Overall Summary

Technical coordination with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, QA/QC Departments, Preparing procedures / sequence for jobs and supervision of construction activities.

It is the responsibility of each individual to familiarize with all safety rules & regulations, attend required safety trainings & participate in required safety programs (STOP, ASA, Risk Assessment etc.).

Specific:

1. Reviewing project specifications, documents, drawings, data sheets & vendor manuals for mechanical machinery & equipment installation.
2. Supervising the field staff and monitoring the installation activities to ensure timely completion of the mechanical equipment installation.
3. Following up site installation activities pertaining to mechanical equipment & machinery and coordinating with other departments.
4. Maintaining machinery as per vendor recommended storage & preservation procedures throughout the construction phase. Coordinating with the vendor representatives for site installation.
5. Raising Engineering Queries for any site installation conflicts, suggest remedial measures and coordinate for remedial actions where required.
6. Following up satisfactory installation checks and coordinating with the QA/QC and client for installation certification.
7. To be a part of PMT where assigned and assist in the project execution. Attend review meetings and coordinate with the Completions team for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
8. Coordinating with other disciplines (Piping, Structural, Civil etc) for the day-to-day construction activities and report the progress of the same to PMT/CMT.
9. Identifying training needs among the field staff and arranging for the required training.
10. Performing any other duties as assigned by direct Supervisor

General:

1. Analyzing AFC (Approved For Construction) drawing, MTOs(Material Taking Off), cut list, nestting diagram Shop drawing prior to Fab.
2. Coordinating W/ PMT,Planning & ENGG.
3. Coordinating W/ Procurement & Warehouse for material delivery & release.
4. Fabrication Sequence, Method Statement,WPS & Rigging Studies review & modify if required.
5. Run regular production meeting w/ production team to archive client Requirement, project spec, productivity and project schedule.
6. Preparing daily/ weekly progress report & daily/weekly production status report and two weeks look ahead plan .
7. Coordination with Supervisors and foremen & frequent yard visit to ensure right allocation of recourses according to target dates and budget.
8. Complete the Project with High Productivity.
9. Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process
10. Provide planning and cost control on all scopes

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 years experience in Oil & Gas in which 6 years must have been Onshore

• Estimation, Planning, Preparing procedures / sequence for the jobs and lead the project group to execute the project within budget and time frame and to the satisfaction of client
• Leadership, well organized and effective Time Management of multiple tasks
• Demonstrate clear written / spoken communication with senior / junior and client personnel at a discipline level

Others:

• Physically strong & highly motivated with an innovative and analytic mind
• Computer Literate
