Job description / Role
Our client is a world leader in the production of industrial paints and coatings and we are recruiting a Production Manager to run the production facilities cost effectively, efficiently and safely.
Only candidates who have experience in industrial paints, coatings and chemicals will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the 24x7 production of industrial paints and coatings in a safe and efficient environment and implementing improvements to processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Manpower, resource and raw material planning and management
- Production and cost planning and management
- Plant and equipment planning and management
- Ensuring all production meets quality assurance standards
Requirements
- BSc Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- 10 - 15 years experience in industrial paints engineering and production
- Working knowledge of petrochemicals
- Extensive knowledge of manual batch process production and working in a chemical reactors production environment to high pressure and temperatures
- Working knowledge of colour and composition formulation, tinting and mixing processes
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication skills fluent in written and verbal English
- Computer literate
- Working knowledge of industry standards including ISO, NEBOSH and API certifications

- Aged between 35 - 45 years
- Speaks good English
