Production Operator

Job description / Role

- Carry out daily maintenance checks and report any faults through the maintenance request procedure.
- Highlight any problems with parts or processes as they arise to production supervision
- Train to set up and run different types of machines using the process sheets provided.
- Train to remove and set broken tools on each machine.
- Record all tool changes on the database system provided.
- Follow the work instructions for each part produced.
- Follow the quality 1st off procedure on start up.
- Maintain quality throughout the run making sure all parts are free from sharp edges and burrs.
- Use the route card for each part and fill in the correct information.
- Consistently achieve the production quantity & quality objective for each part processed.
- Input assigned work area production data to the SFDCS or alternatively, complete the operator record sheet for each part line processed and submit to management at the conclusion of each shift.
- Maintain the correct packaging specification for each different part.
- Maintain a clean and organized designated work area at all times.
- Fulfill other duties deemed necessary by production supervision.
- Ad hoc duties as required by the Line Manager.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year in a similar position / factory environment( ideally Automotive)
- Experience in working in automotive / precision metal product environment
- Must be fluent in written, oral and spoken English. Able to follow instructions / procedures consistently.
- Good communicator.
- High attention to detail.
- Willingness to improve skills
