Production Scheduler

Job description / Role

Purpose of the Job

To develop production plans and schedules for all Service and Repair Center activities which satisfy (internal) customer delivery requirements whilst meeting cost and quality objectives.

Job Accountabilities / Key Responsibilities

• Support the Continuing Development of the Daily Build Schedules, Subcontract, Panel Shop Control Sheets and Internal Completions Schedule
• Update the Internal Completions Schedule, Daily Completions Schedule, and Daily Build Schedule reflecting all necessary changes to the schedule
• Update Refurbishments and Green-cards Schedule to reflect completed units and record any deviations to the schedule
• Collation and reporting of open order coverage by item within each key schedule.
• Scheduling of forecast by items for each product line as required.
• Implement Manufacturing Orders and ensure adherence to processes.
• Optimize the use of MOVEX M3 (Aggreko’s ERP system).
• Work closely with all supply chain functions, to optimize performance.
• Measurement and reporting of delivery performance by Key suppliers.
• Liaison with Fleet Management to ensure their understanding of all aspects of schedule collating and reporting.
• Ad-hoc duties as delegated by Refurbishment and Hubs Manager.
• Instill cleanliness and safe working practice in all areas involved.

Requirements

Person Specification /Job Requirements

• Holder of diploma in Manufacturing Engineering and experience in trade.
• 5 - 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and proven experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of MOVEX / M3 or similar ERP system.
• Knowledge of planning principles e.g. MRP, safety stock, BOMs etc.
• Mature professional approach
• Able to work long hours in demanding conditions.

Desired Skills

• Ability to set up and maintain targeted deadlines.
• The ability to read, write, speak and understand English is a prerequisite.
• Good communication
• Computer Literate. (Microsoft Office Package) Experienced in Excel (advanced)
• Previous experience in similar role is preferred.
• Commitment to safety and well being of all personnel.
• Able to withstand pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
