Production Supervisor

Job description / Role

• Completes shift / production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results, establishing priorities; monitoring progress of production; revising schedules in accordance with set daily objectives.
• Maintain the company’s standards in relation to H&S, Housekeeping, Food Safety, Accuracy, Discipline and Performance.
• Assists the Production Manager in maintaining staff requirements by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
• Maintains quality service by recognising and resolving discrepancies as they arise.
• Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Makes sure all ingredients are received as per Standard Operating Procedure and resolves all issues regarding the ingredients used.
• Ensure all “Orders” are packed accurately and on time.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensure all records electronic and paper are maintained and recorded correctly and ensures all confidential information are kept properly.
• Perform other duties as requested by their Manager.

Requirements

Essential:

• 2-3 years experience in Bakery and Production.
• Computer literacy, especially MS Word & Excel.
• A good working knowledge of bakery equipment.
• people management skills.
• Good verbal and written English.
• The ability to work independently and make sound judgments in decision making

Desirable:
• Previous Supervisory role in Bakery.
• 2nd language compatible with the geographical area being deployed in.
