Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A regional role for Middle East and North Africa looking after 18 markets, based in the headquarters in Bahrain and responsible for providing Consumer Credit Card and Charge Card portfolio Analytics and insights to implement the following, Revenue generating programs on the Consumer Cards Portfolio, Product Optimization Strategy and Strategies for increasing AR and Billings/ Outstanding on the Credit Cards Portfolio.

- Data Manipulation
- Extract data from multiple sources like BI, PWC dump files, TM1, FINCONs Data warehouse, etc.
- Validate the data extracted: run multiple validation processes to guarantee the data consistency and alignment with other department.
- Identify and raise data issues to relevant department and follow-up data corrections measures for quick TAT.
- Code Programming (SAS) to produce customized view of data which are not available in any report. Reports with Client, account or cards can be done only thru sophisticated code on programming language like SAS.
- Produce Reports for multiple purposes.
- BAU monthly generated reports which satisfy most of the requests, so the TAT for simple queries can be agile. For other ad-hoc requests SAS programming is required to fulfill the custom view of our client behavior
- Analysis of cards Portfolio metrics and campaign analysis for Marketing campaign as well Provide analytics insights to assist consumer teams conceptualize and implement AR growth programs encompassing: Activation, spends, profitable balance build and Retention.
- CRM Analytics. Focus on 3 main pillars of product management: Increase activation and spend as well reduce attrition
- Campaign Management responsibility of all stages of campaigns:
- Pre campaign segmentation
- During campaign tracking
- After campaign assessment and learnings collection
- Customer Contact Management implementation, which will be responsible for quality of CM contact details (email penetration & mobile#), contact efficiency to identify the best way to contact customer on terms of timing and channel, and finally Contact Policy to avoid flooding messages to customer or neither low engagement.
- Operational Analysis focus on identifying and segmenting the customer base with the focus on customer engagement with the correct offers to be sent at correct timing
- Operational Opportunities by optimizing campaigns offers as well lifecycle emails and SMS broadcasts. Suggestion to be searched basis on customer needs and with direct impact on the business results
- Work closely with Risk, Finance & Business Planning on monitoring AR Growth
- Build statistical models for lifecycle engagement on the Cards portfolio to help the product teams conceptualize campaigns and programmes to drive portfolio profitability
- Managing regular credit Limit Increases programmes including implementing the Credit limit increase criteria and system implementation of the same.
- To support the achievement of consumer portfolio profitability objectives as per the 5YP, providing high quality input to card acquisition and revenue optimization strategies.
- Work closely with the Head of Products and NPD/NCA team to ensure implementation of the customer segment - product - channel fit
- Working with the sales team and Country Managers to manage and drive implementation of alternate sourcing programs & Preferred Segment strategies based on portfolio analytics

Requirements

- Masters in Computer Science / economics/ statistics/ quantitative analysis/applied microeconomics with Minimum of 5 years of experience in Credit Cards industry especially in MIS automation, Campaign Management and CRM. Statistical modeling and analysis are plus
- Knowledge of relevant statistical and analytical techniques is required.
- Data handling and transformation for analysis comprises one of the most critical functions in this role.

The candidate should possess experience in the following thematic areas:
- Statistical modeling to include limited dependent variable models and wide understanding of maximum likelihood, instrumental variables and least squares methods; additionally the candidate should be able to draw on a broad array of sophisticated statistical techniques to suit the particular problem at hand to include non-parametric estimation, method of moments, etc
- Experience with applied econometric work including solving problems in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner, coping with censoring/truncation, and identifying heteroskedasticity and other violations of CNR assumptions.
- Sampling theory, hypothesis testing and basic test design: proficiency with more advanced material is desired e.g. unbalanced panel designs, fractional factorial design, as these are encountered in a number of marketing settings

Candidate is expected to expertly manipulate their own data. As such the candidate should possess:
- Experience handling large cross-section data sets and transforming raw data into data usable for analysis and MIS and from there, to actionable business insights
- Working knowledge of and practical coding experience with, statistical analysis programming languages such as SAS, Answer Tree, and Oracle. Candidate will be expected to write raw code independently and quickly build strong proficiency in SAS and SQL.
- Expertise in using Excel to include pivot tables powered by Access tables, basic statistical and charting functions, etc
