Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Collaboration and development of appropriate professional development programs, particularly those involving the Emiratization project and new staff associated with this group
• Assists the manager in developing the Professional Development frameworks for implementation at all levels and coordinates with a team to undertake Professional Development and Training 7
• Stays abreast of innovative and best practices in teaching and learning
• Works with a team to undertake the Professional Development and Training initiatives, including ensuring adequate records are retained for both professional appraisal and quality audit requirements
• Facilitates and coordinates the sharing of best practice and innovation in teaching and learning
• Coordinates and/or delivers strategic professional development and training to relevant personnel
• Facilitates the creation of content for strategic communications tools such as websites, SharePoint, newsletters, etc.
• Keeps abreast of developments in the field by engaging in professional development activities
• Contributes to the development of the organization by monitoring programs and identifying areas for improvement; by observing and implementing system-wide policies and procedures; and by participating in activities and community events
• Travels to attend meetings, workshops and conferences as required
• Develops an awareness of and respect for the customs and cultures
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements

• A minimum 2 years of progressive work experience
• Experience in traditional and on-line course development
• Excellent writing skills and knowledge of writing pedagogies
• Extensive knowledge of technology-rich pedagogical initiatives such as flipping the classroom, and on-line learning
• Experience in implementation of continuous quality improvement
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, work independently and collaboratively, and complete tasks on time with minimal supervision
• The ability to work within a project management framework of deadlines and deliverables
• A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology in the workplace
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
• Highly developed organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are required
• The ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment
• A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization
