The RoleThe RoleTo assist in planning, managing, and advising on aviation programs and multiple projects successfully through developing, maintaining and applying tactical program and project plans and action steps, and effective communication with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver on target completion dates. Key responsibility is to advise and work with the Planning & Integration Manager to ensure that goals, objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) of all assigned programs/projects are accomplished within scope, schedule, cost and quality parameters, and in accordance with contractual obligations. Work closely with and under the direction of the Planning & Integration Manager to properly plan successfully the assigned programs/projects and work in the following dimensions: Assist in managing the implementation of multiple aviation programs/projects providing stakeholders with full disclosure of the relevant data that will enable the provision of accurate and efficient high quality service standards to internal and external stakeholders. Develop program/project management plans in coordination with the Planning & Integration Manager and program/project team. Work closely with the Planning & Integration Manager to develop a Program Audit and Governance framework. Ensure internally implemented programs/projects meet user requirements. Coordinate site visits where necessary and evaluate proposals to RFPs. Roll out project phases within the timeline of the business needs. Strong knowledge of airline maintenance operations, practices, processes, methods, appropriate information technologies, aircraft engineering, production planning and maintenance processes, and certification activities related to the modification, maintenance, operation and repair of large commercial in-service aircraft essentials Work in a team environment on aviation programs/projects including specialists, planning professionals and technicians. Responsible for the technical excellence of the tasks and analyses performed, regulatory compliance, and for on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. Assist in preparing Project Management Plans, Project Control Statements, and Quality Control files for annual QA project audits. Work with the Planning & Integration Manager to continuously improve program/project management processes and work on creating synergies between them and other related aviation projects. Ensure proper execution of the overall planning phase including Project, Resource, Financial, Quality, Risk, Acceptance, Communications, and Procurement plans in accordance and agreement with the Planning and Integration Manager. Produce project management and executive reports for internal and/or external distribution (weekly, monthly, quarterly, Annual) Concrete understanding of project and program management planning principles. Ensure that all the legal documents related to programs/projects are reviewed with the clients and reflect all the business terms prior to submission for legal review. Thorough understanding of MS Project and the ability to develop detailed and complex project plans. Assist in developing backup plans to ensure the unit‘¦s goals are achieved within the specified time period. Identify project risks and define suitable mitigations with involved stakeholders. |
RequirementsRequirements 5+ years experience in Project Planning. Preferred: Experience in Planning Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO). Very good experience in project management - planning. Very good experience in contract management. Very good experience in performing product support through a PBL strategy. BS/BA, or equivalent degree with a major in Business Administration or similar discipline. Graduate of an aviation school and/or holding an MS/MBA is a plus. Holding a program/project management professional certification is a plus. |
