The Role


Job Purpose:
•A senior programme manager taking overall responsibility for ensuring the validity, alignment and delivery of the FNL Process/FBT stream in accordance with the scope and objectives of the Fixed National Launch Programme.
•Take responsibility for the delivery of Cross-Division sponsored projects and initiatives
•Drive the introduction of PMI project methodologies, in line with the Corporate PMO, across the FNL Process/FBT stream

Principal Accountabilities / Key Result Areas:

Programme Management
•Oversee and/or manage key cross-functional projects within the division including IT-System migrations/overhauls – to ensure their adherence to agreed requirements and general alignment with business objectives; and
•Report on the progress and/or impact of all cross-functional projects within the Fixed National Programme to the Programme Director on a timely basis.
•Liaise with the PMO to deliver clear and consistent reporting on programme status and progress to all interested stakeholders e.g. FNL Steering Committee, FNL Delivery Team, and Corporate PMO.
•Liaise with the PMO to encompass risk and issues management and project governance.
•Develops systems/Adopt CPMO’s PM methodology and maintains records that provide for the proper evaluation, control and documentation of assigned activities; prepares a variety of written correspondence, reports, procedures, directives and other materials as required.
•Ensure the creation of relevant operating plans detailing by product the activities/projects and launches needed to deliver the overall performance objectives of the FNL Programme
•Manage, track and review the FNL Process/FBT programme delivery processes along with any technology which supports this. Make recommendations for improvement and drive the delivery of any proposed improvements.
•Work with external suppliers, agencies or other divisions as a representative of du by fostering collaborative working relationships to the benefit of the programmes delivered and du.

Project Management
•Manage the central pool providing resource to either scope and/or manage key business projects or change initiatives designed to drive efficiency or improvement in the FNL programme
•Coordinate the allocation of project resources to FNL Process/FBT projects to ensure their time is optimally used
•Deliver significant projects (in project manager capacity) as appropriate

Team Management
•Manage and motivate the central pool of project managers and business analysts
•Provide opportunities for staff development through on the job experiences and formal training programmes
•Ensure performance management agreements are in place with regular reviews undertaken to guarantee progress
•Manage poor performers in the team appropriately
