Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

PURPOSE:
The PM shall lead and manage the delivery of technical outputs for projects on time, to the quality required, and within the allocated budget, including primary client contact. This will be achieved by defining, controlling and delivering workflows in accordance with Mouchels QMS/IMS, whilst interfacing with Project Management Services, technical and managerial staff both in the head office and in Mouchels Design Centre (s)

The PM is responsible for providing Program Management Services to manage Mouchels Client stakeholders, representing the Client to ensure Project Site Supervision and Contractors adhere to the Contractual requirements. The PM position is responsible for managing a dedicated team monitoring, controlling and coordinating all site works performed by Contractors working for the Client, by managing key parameters: time, cost and quality.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage the interface between Client technical and management team and MME Design Centre (DC) team, interpreting RFP requirements and controlling MME risk by creating clear accurate Internal Briefing Plans for DC.
- Manage the delivery of technical teams and the required outputs in accordance with the brief.
- Ensure that delivery is achieved in accordance with the following specific requirements:
- Health and safety requirements are adhered to and files and records are maintained
- Leading on project fees generation, monitoring and collection
- Legal documents are signed and commercial arrangements are clearly defined
- Programmes are established and maintained
- Change control is maintained
- Risk management is fully utilised
- PM tools are maintained
- Deliver Project Management excellence and innovation across Engineering Services.
- Responsibility for implementing resourced and costed project programmes using Microsoft Project or other approved planning tools, for individual or multiple projects.
- Manage and assist Team Managers in optimising the resource balance.
- Lead in the delivery of client outcomes, whilst meeting utilisation targets.
- Agreement of project briefs, proposals and deliverables with Client Services Portfolio Managers and other clients.
- Establish and maintain systems to produce financial, progress and performance reporting and management of project administration for all assigned project resources including, non-conformance reporting and action.
- Champion delivery in accordance with Mouchels management systems including Health and Safety, project, commercial and risk management.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that the checking, certifying and authorising is completed for designs, documents, approvals, Professional Skill and Care Certificates and reports.
- Mentoring less experienced Project Managers in all aspects of project management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Engineering (Chartered or equivalent).
- Post Graduate courses in Project / Construction Management or demonstrable experience in relevant role.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- Have an excellent track record in the delivery/managing infrastructure civil engineering projects and be able to agree all the project outputs of the team(s) prior to issue.
- Strong knowledge and experience of management systems & processes used within Mouchel or a similar consultancy business.
- Excellent communication, presentation and project management skills including leading and managing multi-disciplinary technical teams within a competitive business environment.
- Experience working with Private Sector organisations (e.g. Engineering Consultancy) and delivering services to a Public Sector environment is essential.
- Experience working within a Middle East environment.
