This is a complex and multi faceted role and hosts a combination of operational and marketing support. The job holder is responsible for primarily supporting the operational aspects and secondarily to support the marketing activities of one of the key programmes run by the organization. The blend will be 70 percent operational and 30 percent marketing. Matrix reporting for both operations and marketing roles make the role interesting and very challenging.

With regards to operational coordination, you will report to the Senior Operations Manager to line up the schedule of modules and primary responsibilities include the preparation and logistics prior to the onset of the programme and this will involve arranging presentations, coordinating with speakers, organizing events and social activities etc. You will also make arrangements for participants and professors in terms of arranging visas, accommodation, printing of learning materials, scheduling etc.

You will also act as ambassador for the organization during the programme, and this will involve maintaining a physical presence in order to answer any queries or request for assistance, showing participants around the campus, evaluating questionnaire feedback etc. In addition, you will also work closely with the Assistant Director of Marketing to organize marketing events both on site and off site. You will be responsible or managing the database, referrals and responding to enquiries from potential participants including walks-ins and telephone enquiries.

Requirements

Applications are invited from candidates who have initiative, common sense, energy, maturity and excellent and communication skills. Fluency in English is paramount and ideally the job holder will have a minimum of three years’ experience in a marketing role and have experience interacting with clients and customers. Strong cross cultural competence, the ability to prioritize and multi task and be flexible is important as is the ability to work to tight deadlines.
