Programme Planning Manager - Dammam, Saudi Arabia

As an important provider of engineering services with an established office, reputation and track record in the region for delivery of major projects, CH2M HILL is supporting our clients to provide program delivery services for its new projects.

CH2M is seeking an experience Planning Manager to support its efforts on the King Abdullah Program for Sports Stadiums (KAPSS) in the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia (KSA). The KAPSS Program is to initiate, plan and Deliver 11 x 45,000 seat stadiums concurrently throughout KSA within two years.

This position is responsible for effectively and proactively managing, controlling, and reporting on the planning and scheduling activities for the concurrent projects throughout the program. The Planning Manager must have expert knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Excel and SurTrak. Additionally, the Planning Manager must have demonstrated the ability to work independently on complex project planning and scheduling controls issues as well as working in a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Prepares schedule performance measurements reports, forecasts and studies.
- Develops and implements project control procedures in conjunction with supporting project ancillary functions.
- Prepares project plans and detailed manpower utilization plans.
- Analyzes critical paths and restraints to determine effect of changes on the schedule and recommends workarounds to mitigate impacts.
- Develops plans and recommendations for mitigation of impacts of schedule problems.
- Assists in preparation of the monthly progress report.
- Provides project management consultation on factors affecting the timely completion of projects.
- Performs special analysis for resource loading and performance progress.
- Communicates with programme team members.
- Analyzes drawings, specifications and statements of work in the preparation of activity networks for project resource planning and scheduling.
- Assists in preparation of programme master schedule and performs critical path analysis.
- Assists in updating programme master schedule on a regular basis for project management reporting.
- Analyzes progress reports against current baseline schedules.
- Maintains liaison with the project and field personnel for schedule revisions and updates.
- sProvide project planning capabilities including critical interfaces and risks analysis.
- Establishes and monitor project controls KPIs
- Ensures project policies and procedures are implemented accordingly.
- Develops Action and Recovery plans to support project delivery on time.
- Supports project management in accomplishing project status review and performance control.
- Coordinates, supervises and checks the work of those scheduling personnel assigned to projects under his/her direction.
- Responsible for assigned cost engineering functions on the project.
- Integrates project budget and schedule to forecast cash flow requirements.
- Participates in claims analysis and negotiations.

Requirements

- B.S. Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- 10 years experience.
- Must be pro-active, adaptable and able to motivate team members.
- Able to interface with both clients and other inter-office disciplines at a senior level.
- Must have construction background and ability to evaluate and develop. construction schedules.
- Experience managing master schedule and addressing extension of time.
- Experience on design and construction of capital improvement program is required, sports stadiums is preferred
- Experience working on large-scale programs.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
- Experience working within the Middle East.
- Effective oral and written communication skills (English) are required.
