Employment: Full Time

Due to expansion and growth AECOM Middle East are currently seeking a Project Accountant to work across major projects in Doha, Qatar. The Project Accountant will be deployed onto a key project (s) and provide Commercial insight as well as Seek opportunities to improve project profitability, and then support and track the project teams performance in delivering these opportunities to the AECOM business. The successful applicant will act as the primary link between the Finance / Commercial and Operational teams in regard to the Project (s) and day to day Financial and Commercial matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage as the financial partner to the Project Management teams on a high risk, small volume portfolio with several project managers crossing various business lines.
- Engage in regular meetings with project managers and/or project delivery teams on the status of projects.
- Participate in project review preparation, execution, and follow up.
- Assist Project Manager regularly with project setup, project monitoring, system updating and closeout.
- Ensure all incurred costs are reflected accurately and in a timely manner on the project.
- Assist project manager with the preparation and update of the Estimate for Complete for all active projects.
- Ensure that financial reporting for pending change orders are reflected correctly in the AECOM System project manager software program, and appropriate approvals and documentation are in place.
- Ensure that the current budget reflects approved as-sold contract margin plus all client approved changes.
- Perform project analysis and prepare reports upon request for management review.
- Understand the Commercial and billing requirements of the projects; ensure project set up is accurate and reflects the correct billing requirements.
- Understand project costing methodologies, and provide assistance and review support on proposals for moderate risk projects.
- Assist in the preparation of the project risk analysis and Revenue Authorization Requests.
- Heavily engage with project pursuit teams as financial support and review for low and moderate risk bid preparations.

Requirements

- It is essential that all applicants have at least between 6 -10 years accounting and Commercial experience.
- Engineering and Construction (Infrastructure) exposure is needed as individuals will require the skills sets to handle matters which major programs / projects come to face with.
- A Bachelors Degree is required in either Finance, Accounting or Business as well as accredited Accountants with ACCA or ACA.
