Employment: Full Time

A top tier British organisation is looking for a Projects Contracts Manager to manage and deliver all of the company's contracts in Bahrain including all construction, installations and civil requirements with full responsibility for the efficient, profitable, safe and quality operation of these Contracts.

Large British Company working on a large transport services project.

The daily overseeing, supervision and management of the Companies contracts in Bahrain including the supervision and management of all labour resources.
- Ensuring the profitable and efficient delivery of all contracts to agreed profit margins.
- Liaising with internal Manufacturing, Production, Assembly and Dispatch Departments regarding work programming, scheduling and planning. Including full responsibility for achieving and exceeding required installation targets as dictated by the companies MPS production and output schedules.
- The full responsibility for the monitoring and delivering of Profit & Loss accounts for each contract on a daily and monthly reported basis, including financial performance, operating costs, turnover and efficiency savings. This is to be presented by the post holder at monthly intervals reflecting the previous months trading or at frequencies as requested by the board.
- Monitoring and claiming contract variations, deviations, additions and chargeable extras.
- To assist with business development, preparation of quotations, tenders and the growth of the business in Bahrain.
- To assist with risk assessments ensuring that all documentation and method statements are up to date.
- To liaise with local authorities and to ensure that all works are scheduled and permitted in a timely and efficient manor to ensure efficient and uninterrupted service delivery.
- To attend client meetings as and when required.
- Recruitment and resource allocation for both full and part time labour as required.
- Recruiting and managing subcontractors/ subcontract labour as required.
- Consistently identify and handle Health, Safety and Environmental requirements to provide a safe place of work at all times and to ensure application of safe working practices on public highways. Ensure that all contracts, operations and staff/ labour conform to required Bahrain Health & Safety laws.
- To ensure quality control is documented and adhered to including site visits and audits.
- To ensure that all staff/ labour are adequately trained and qualified to undertake the work that is required of them.
- To maintain a high standard and quality of work.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Previous project / contract management experience at a senior level within the Middle East region, ideally within the street furniture, highways or passenger transport industry.
- Degree, HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, SMSTS, IOSH or equivalent is advantageous.
- Full standard driving licence is essential as the job will entail some driving off site including site audits.
- Experience in the management of on-street installations is an advantage.
- Strong communication, organisational, influencing and man-management skills.
- Must be numerate / commercially astute.
- Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office Packages.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills.
