The RoleThe RoleOur client, a prestigious name in the Petrochemical Industry is urgently looking for a Project Controller to join their team in Saudi Arabia Responsibilities: Evaluate pre-payments, guarantees and LCs. Review EPC contracts for clauses affecting finance. Coordinate Fixed Asset Register Validation and Allocation. Provide support as requested by Internal or External Auditors. Finance focal point for ECA reimbursements and compliance. Provide support and supervision to the Project Cost Accountants. Coordinate/ensure that retention / WHT are administered correctly. Provide accounting guidance to Project (e.g. Control Capital vs. Expenses). Ensure that payments are allocated to the proper project structure in SAP / 2090. Oversee daily Project activities as well as formulate solutions and recommendations. Identify major problem areas in Project accounting, reporting, tax, or internal control. Provide timely and reliable financial information to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure adequate internal controls are in place and legal agreements are being followed. Initiate and / or perform analyses and provide recommendations to avoid loss or mishandling of funds. Define and provide additional reporting needs (i.e. Forex forecast, ECA, lenders or sponsors requirements). Perform all such other tasks that are incidental to, or necessary for, the achievement of their overall responsibilities. Offer additional ad-hoc reporting as requested by the management, the shareholders, the lenders and the program office. Ensure that approved Invoices sent for payment are verified and non-compliant invoices are returned to Project Controls for further processing. |
RequirementsRequirements Degree in relevant discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience of which minimum 5 years experience must be in Energy/ Petrochemical Industry in the GCC.
