Parsons Brinckerhoff has been appointed the program management consultant for the construction of more than 200 local roads and drainage projects in Qatar.
The Local Roads & Drainage Program (LR&DP) is part of a strategy to develop roads, drainage, and infrastructure networks throughout the country. The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) established the LR&DP as part of a greater infrastructure plan to achieve its 2030 National Vision, while also preparing to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup and possibly the 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
Parsons Brinckerhoff will manage and coordinate all interfaces with the client and stakeholders and will oversee general engineering consultants for each of the five geographic zones comprising Qatar. The LR&DP is scheduled to take five to seven years and is estimated at QR 50 billion (US$13.7 billion).

Parsons Brinckerhoff’s LR&DP office is located in the client’s office tower in the West Bay area of Doha, which is close to the corniche (waterfront promenade), diplomatic district, and shopping malls

We are currently searching for Project Controllers to join this fast paced environment. The Project Controls Coordinator will be part of the Project Controls Support team and will be the direct communication link between the Area Delivery Manager (ADM) Teams and the Programme Controls.
The role will involve working closely with Area Delivery Teams to ensure that Project Controls information relating to budget, scope, schedule and status are accurate, timely, and supports effective decision making.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist Programme Controls Manager with contractual milestones/deliverables
• Support the Programme Controls Manager with the preparation of monthly report
• Provide project control support to assigned programme management teams, performing various planning and scheduling activities through the life cycle of the projects’ phases.
• Performing analysis, progress monitoring and reporting
• Evaluate/review the GEC’s progress reports
• Provide assistance to the Area Delivery Manager for the extraction of data from the PB Program Management Information System (PMIS) for reporting or analysis purposes.
• Review, check and recommend for approval/disapproval of GEC’s submitted schedules
• Gathering and analyzing critical project performance information, investigating variances and recommending corrective action
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the Programme Controls Manager

Requirements

To be successful in this position you will possess a minimum of 8 years experience with a fast paced project environment. Your proven experience within large scare construction projects will see you exceed the expectations of the client. Experience using P6 will be highly regarded.
