Project Controls Manager - Doha, Qatar
The Sharq Crossing will comprise three one-of-a-kind bridges connected by immersed tunnels providing an iconic and world class bridge and tunnel structure of international distinction fitting of Qatars growth and development aspirations aligned with the 2030 Qatar National Vision. In providing an alternative route which by-passes the city centre of Doha, the Sharq Crossing is a key part of the future world class transportation offering in Qatar.
CH2M is lead consultant of a team comprising Arup, Arup, BEaM, David Adamson (DAPO), Cracknell and High-Point Rendel bidding for the Sharq Crossing Programme: Engineering Consultancy Services and Immersed Tunnel Services Option.
This requisition form is for the role of Project Controls Manager. The Project Controls Manager is required to meet the requirements of Ashghal for project control reporting on design progress against the Design Programme
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- report to the project manager
- develop draft Monitoring and Reporting System for management and Engineer review
- manage all programme control aspects for the Consultant (CH2M) for the monthly reports to the Engineer (Fluor)
- monitor and report on design performance to design programme and cost liaise with Engineer to allow Design Project and Design Programmes to be incorporated into the Project and Programme Master Programmes
- coordinate the resolution of variance reports relating to scheduling and cost reporting.
- Provide guidance and advice to the management team on planning issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Project management or related technical fields
- 15 years of progressive work experience, Middle East experience preferable, in all subject areas of programme and project controls
- demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively
- team oriented and flexible to suit a fluid design process being developed on a restricted schedule
- Current and detailed knowledge of various scheduling, cost, collaboration and other IT applications (Microsoft Word, Excel. Access, Project and Primavera P6)
- high standard of written and spoken English
