Project Controls Manager

Job description / Role

Our client, a leading construction organisation is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join their company on one of their flagship construction projects in Riyadh.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for robustly managing the construction programme as well as managing costs and expenditure on this $multi billion scheme.

Key tasks include
- Set up of job specific control tools
- Regular review of the project program including quantitative assessment of deliverable production and submission milestones
- Routinely identify and report on project delays and causes and accurately project the effect of these issues on the achievement of other deadlines
- Review costs to complete in respect of the project program changes, budget anomalies and variations
- Make recommendations against the Contractors' claims for payment, variations and extension of time
- Prepare and assist in the production of project reports.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, planning, construction management or a related engineering degree.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, tools and programmes involved in construction of buildings.
- Knowledge of different international standards, design techniques, and tools in the construction, planning(primavera), estimating & project management.
- Knowledge of international conditions of contract such as FIDIC conditions
- Previous experience as a Project Controls Engineer/Manager on projects in the Middle East is highly desired.
