Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As a Project Director you will assume the number one position on a headline mega high-rise program. You will be the main interface between the business and the client and will hold ultimate accountability for the running of the program against prescribed timescales and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish leadership, governance, strategy and direction of multiple projects
- Coordinate interfaces and provide continuity across programme
- Ensure compliance with the contract
- Coordinate stakeholder management
- Structure and organise the delivery teams
- Coordinate the provision of resource, support and performance management for the team
- Provide international, regional and delivery expertise
- Coordinate interface management
- Establish effective and efficient succession planning
- Report on risk and quality management
- Maintain high standards of health and safety
- Review all documents being issued to the client
- Promote workplace safety standards and procedures
- Continuously promote and influence a positive safety culture
- Review and endorse safety procedures and standards
- Pro-actively participate in senior management safety tours
- Provide strategic leadership of all programme HSE initiatives
- Act as technical advisor to the client
- Keep up to date with industry developments with respect to own discipline, other disciplines and engineering innovations and developments on a global scale
- Prepare and monitor programme schedules
- Initiate and support the technical capabilities of the team
- Challenge and seek to improve the project deliverables
- Drive innovation and better ways of working
- Initiate and drive value management and value engineering

Requirements

- Extensive programme / project management experience
- A current leadership role or recent proven leadership ability
- Technically qualified to at least degree level, ideally with post-graduate qualification(s)
- A minimum of 20 years post-graduation experience
- Member of a relevant professional body
- Execution experience on a major high-rise project would be advantageous
- Established team leadership, collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Experience in communicating with senior level stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of and expertise in project controls and environments.
- Experience in working on projects, master planning and site development activities.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Cultural empathy and the ability to operate successfully in sensitive environment
