Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Project Director with a minimum of 20+ years experience in the delivery of major infrastructure projects to join our team in Riyadh, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Principle Activities

Responsible for delivering a large varied infrastructure project in accordance with the clients requirements.
Overall responsible for management, direction and administration of the Construction Management
Prime site contact for the ADA.
Monitor the progress of the works and advise ADA Project Director of any delays that may affect the planned completion dates and recommend remedial action as appropriateConduct regular meetings with the ADA Project Director and his representative
Conduct regular meetings with the contractor to review progress and quality of the works.
Monitor the progress of the works against the contractors programme
Issue completion certificates
Work with the Contract Administrator in the settlement of the final account
Issue final completion certificate following expiry of the defects liability period
Managing key stakeholder interfaces which will include all departments within the client organization.
Establish project controls and reporting and ensure timely delivery of project to time, cost and quality.
Progress reporting and monitoring in line with contract KPIs
Ensure resources are appropriate to meet current and future commitments and to maximise opportunities.
Liaise with Construction Management Team to develop working designs, details and specification, from the approved detail designs.
Review shop/working drawings and material submittals for compliance with project documents
Respond to Contractor queries and review construction issue drawings
Report on environmental and safety issues arising from work operations
Coordinate information between the design office, contractor and client
Ensuring all relevant BH staff are informed of project and client matters.
Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the clients best interests and that BH policy is in keeping with current legislation, Health and Safety Standards and British Standards and Codes of Practice etc.

Requirements

The Infrastructure Project Director will be a qualified professional who has reached Senior Manager level. capable of providing planning, leadership, direction and technical expertise to manage complex tasks and multidisciplinary projects. The individual must have a minimum qualification BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent, have Chartered status and more than 20+ years experience. 10 years of the individuals experience should be in a similar project or position.

The Infrastructure Project Director will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Buro Happolds reputation with our clients and developing effective long term client relationships thus identifying and developing new opportunities.

Profile

An experienced Infrastructure Project Director with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi-functional projects specifically with an Infrastructure background
Knowledge of project controls procedures.
A rounded profile, comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations.
Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.
