Job description / Role
Our client is a Global Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Contractor who have been set up in the Middle East for the last 25 years.
Due to a recent Major Project win, my client is currently recruiting for a Project Director to work on a $750m USD New Build Stadium project in Doha, Qatar as part of the States ongoing Construction plans for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The successful candidate should have similar experience in Construction of FIFA complaint Stadium Construction projects of value of 750 million to 1 billion USD is preferred or Major Construction Projects worth in excess of $1bn USD.
This position will be responsible for:
- Single point contact with Employer/ Engineer
- Delivery of project to Schedule/ Quality / Safety / statutory & regulatory authorities conformance.
- Responsible for Consolidation and interface between Company and JV partner
- Steering Commercial aspects for Company and JV partner
- Obtain approval for Estimate & Resources from appropriate level of Company management.
- Implementation of Project Quality Plan, Safety Plan and Environmental plan
- Ensure Approval of Purchase Requisition, Work Orders and Purchase Orders at site or obtaining approval from higher ups as per organization guidelines.
- Monitor Corrective and Preventive Action.
- Best Practices identification, nurture and report.
- Development of employees.
- Liaison with customer, statutory and regulatory authorities.
- Responsible for Profitability of the Project

Requirements
- Degree Qualified
- At least 18 years industry experience
- GCC experience advantageous but not essential
- Main Contracting experience
- Project Director on Projects worth in excess of $1bn USD
