The RoleThe RoleTo provide special electrical engineering skills and services to the Projects Department of Operations Division, by ensuring the design and implementation of electrical works within projects meet the specifications for Electrical Engineering and good manufacturing practice of the company |
RequirementsRequirementsEssentially the candidate should have a Bachelors in Science Degree (specialized in Electrical Engineering) from a recognized University. A Corporate Membership in a professional Electrical Engineering Institution and computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Power Point. A candidate having a diploma/ post-graduate qualification related to project management and contract costing would be of advantage The candidate should have experience no less than 10 years in electrical projects, design and maintenance related work in a managerial capacity Desirable Qualifications include; 1. Previous experience of a project nature to set out Engineer’s estimates and budgeting 2. Work experience of at least 2 years in a powder and/or baby food manufacturing firm as a production, process or engineering supervisor 3. Familiarity in MS Project/ Primavera software 4. Process plant automation Competencies (Technical, Operational, Managerial, Human & Cultural Requirements) In relation to Knowledge, Skills and Attitude, the successful Engineer shall have the technical knowledge to design applications and shall possess the required problem solving skills at site. He should work together with the other project staff as a team. He shall have the ability to coordinate with internal branches for decision making on technical issues. He shall have the ability to negotiate with suppliers and contractors to obtain the best mix in terms of cost and quality to the company Experience in process plant automation is an advantage |
