Project Engineer - Marine

Job description / Role

Our client is a leading construction company based in the UAE with a established reputation for the delivery of high profile projects. They are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their Marine division

- Support Project Manager in all engineering aspects of the project
- Assist Project Manager in the development of work preparation schedule and ensure resources, project schedule and contract strategies are appropriate.
- Prepare a list of deliverables to the Project Plan
- Ensure work packages are prepared, reviewed and discussed with the Construction Manager
- Prepare procurement schedule in liaison with the Project Manager and ensure adequate tracking of materials and reconciliation during and after execution of the project.
- Coordinate construction activities at site and manage the activities of the Planning Engineer, Site Engineers, Draftsmen, Surveyors and material collector
- Ensure timely review as appropriate on all clients technical documentation
- Liaise with project planner on changes to overall project schedule and alert project management of potential schedule risks.
- Keep the project team informed on all relevant aspects of engineering issues that arise on the project.
- Identify risks and dangers (general and HSE) and prepare job safety analysis and lifting plans.
- Maintain IT set up at site and provide assistance as required.
- Ensure handover of systems is planned and managed efficiently and all documentation is in place to effect final closeout

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree Civil Engineering with a minimum 5 years of experience with Civil Marine Contracting company.
- Experience in at least one large project (120 Million Dhs +)
- Previous experience working in the U.A.E.
