Job description / Role
The role of the Project Engineer (mechanical) is to support the project team (Project Manager/Site Managers etc) during their day-to-day operations. This involves managing the technical staff, providing help, advice and technical guidance, while managing and exceeding the Clients’ needs.
Responsibilities
• Organise and coordinate with the relevant managers regarding the day to day operations of the jobsite.
• Assist and implement assignments given by the relevant manager.
• Implement management instructions for projects, services and planned maintenance.
• Programming, scheduling and assist in budget preparation and cost management.
• Co-ordinate regular site inspections to monitor standard of work and completion schedule.
• Manage and provide technical support to the supervisors to execute the works effectively
• Submit requirements and justifications for resources such as materials, tools, equipments and man power. Monitor for accuracy and variance.
Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering.
• 5-10 years engineering experience in mechanical/HVAC construction.
• Middle East experience preferable but not essential.
• Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment and materials in the field relating to MEP installations and related systems, plant & equipment
• Display a relevant level of knowledge of other associated engineering disciplines.
• Ability to plan and supervise the work of junior engineers/technicians.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches, drawings, specifications and technical documents.
