Project Engineer

Job description / Role

Due to recent project awards our we are currently working with a reputable foundation engineering contractor in the Middle East, for a Project Engineer. With over 40 years experience in the Middle East and having worked on some of the major landmarks in the U.A.E, this is an exciting opportunity to progress your career.

You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supervising the project team in order that daily tasks are completed and targets are achieved within budget and on time.
- Analysing project needs to assist in developing project objectives and to ensure work installed on projects meets plan and specification requirements.
- Supervising the project site daily to ensure Health & Safety procedures are applied appropriately and that tasks are executed in accordance with agreed specifications, procedures and method statements.
- Ensuring all information on drawings is conveyed to teams correctly in order to promote understanding and to avoid complications in the completion of the project

You will be required to:
- Delegate daily work, monitor performance status, attending site meetings in order for all project needs and performance to be assessed and met, thus guaranteeing successful completion.
- Monitor work of sub-contracting workforce to maintain that both quality and time measures.
- Orchestrate with plant and operations departments to organize required resources and meet the needs of the project as clarified by Project Manager.
- Assist in the arrangement of permits, approvals and inspections from concerned government authorities in order for project documentation to be correct.
- Actively implement and suggest new methodology to find avenues that are more economical.
- Maintain awareness of team needs, appraising at regular intervals

Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 4 years experience in piling engineering on major projects.
- Arabic speaking.
