Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to: Project Manager
Reported by: Site Engineers, Foremen, Charge-hands and laborers

This is an onsite based role

Duties & Responsibilities
- Carrying out the tasks identified by the Project Manager
- Complying with all Company policies, quality procedures, statutory regulations and project specifications for the work allocated to him
- Ensuring that the quality of material and installation of work is in accordance with the acceptance criteria identified for the project
- Ensuring that the work is completed in accordance with the specified Quality Management and Control system and in a safe manner
- Material and equipment management
- Ensuring that work is executed in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications, agreed procedures and method statements
- Preparation of designated procedures
- Ensuring that safety rules and regulations are communicated to the workforce and are fully enforced
- Site surveying and setting out, dimensional control
- Monitoring all Subcontractors work closely to ensure that the Quality of the work is as per specification and is completed on time
- Completing all necessary Q.A. documentation related to the work under his direct control and co-ordinate daily site inspections
- General site management
- Ensuring that all information on drawings is conveyed to the workforce in a proper manner and details produced where required
- Any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Project Manager
- Work preparation and planning of construction
- Co-ordination of site staff and equipment for the project
- Managing site documentation / construction file
- Control of Subcontractors performances
- Planning and control of material operation and Supervision
- Highlighting possible variations to Project Manager
- Directing construction according to technical and commercial criteria
- Coordination with Subcontractors and suppliers
- Out put controls of labours and implement steps to improve
- Signing of the time cards
- Control and sign Overtime sheets daily
- Arrange daily reports

Requirements

- 10 + years of work experience in the relevant field
- Previous experience of having worked in a Consultancy and with Contractor firms
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Should be aware of Civil Defense requirements
- Should be based in Dubai currently and have experience with Dubai local authorities
- Have a Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
